Winter Vacation Hot Spots
Whether you’re trying to plan a honeymoon or a vacation for the whole family, the long winter months are a great time to go on vacation; it can offer a much-needed reprieve from the cold, gloomy days and give you the recharge you need to make it until spring (there’s a reason they call it the winter blues!). Here are just a few of the many warm, tropical escapes you should consider for your next winter getaway.
DisneyWorld – The temperate year-round climate of Orlando, Florida makes it the ideal place to vacation during the winter months. In fact, from November through February, daytime highs are typically in the 70s and while you may need a light jacket for the nights (lows are usually in the low 50s), the weather is darn near perfect to explore the magic of DisneyWorld and the surrounding parks and attractions.
A Caribbean Cruise – Not only are the winter months one of the best times to set sail in the Caribbean, it can also be one of the cheapest. September through December (with the exception of Christmas and New Year’s weeks) is considered the low season so you’ll be able to enjoy the warm weather at a fraction of the cost!
Beach vacations. This one is a little bit more broad but aren’t winter getaways all about getting some R&R? Beach vacations pretty much anywhere in the southern hemisphere (think Mexico, Aruba or virtually anywhere in the Bahamas) may just be what you need to beat your winter blues! A week lounging on the beach in the warm sun sipping margaritas is enough to revitalize and boost just about anyone’s spirits.
